Who should go?
Our advice: Hotel Cambodiana Phnom Penh is the perfect stay for travelers seeking an international-standard hotel in the center of Phnom Penh. The range of room types, array of on-site facilities and central location result in a comfortable stay for both business and leisure travelers. Although the service is friendly, Hotel Cambodiana lacks the intimacy of a boutique property so couples looking for a romantic, quiet getaway may wish to look elsewhere.
When to go?
Phnom Penh's rainy season is from May until October with the dry season starting in November and lasting until March. The city is hot and humid all year round but November to January are the best months to visit, with the temperature at its coolest and humidity at its lowest. However, is it also the city's major tourist season so bookings should be made well in advance. The rains in the rainy season are usually heavy but short. It also corresponds with the city's low tourist season, making bookings easier and prices cheaper than the dry season.
Where is it?
Located near the banks of the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers on Sisowath Quay, this popular property is surrounded by picturesque scenes of river tranquility and the bustle of an emerging capital city. The hotel is conveniently located near some of the city's main attractions such as the Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. Phnom Penh International Airport is a 20-30 minute drive away.
What's not to be missed?
Visiting the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. Admiring fine Angkorian art at the National Museum. A relaxing massage at the hotel's spa. Sunset cocktails by the riverside pool.
What's cooking?
Four onsite restaurants offer guests at Hotel Cambodiana an array of dining options. The chefs at The Mekong Garden Restaurant offer a tempting mix of Western and Eastern delicacies indoors or poolside, with daily themed buffets, while the signature restaurant, Lamboise, offers fine French food in an inspired atmosphere and regularly attracts area expats and local residents for dinner. For drinking options, sip an afternoon beverage at the art-filled Lobby bar or, after hours, the Qba is a lively place for cocktails and dancing.
