Luxury Tour Operator - Exotissimo Travel Cambodia
I went on Exotissimo's Cambodia Culture and Cuisine tour with my cousin and loved it! I really liked this tour because I discovered a lot about my own country and learned more about the fine art of Cambodian cuisine.
One of the reasons why I took this tour was because I was not a really good cook. After this tour, I think I learned a lot about Cambodian food and am a better cook now.
My cousin and I visited many sites while riding the cyclo. It's the most enjoyable way to discover the capital city. I was intrigued with the Silver Pagoda in the Royal Palace complex. The floor was covered with over 5000 silver tiles and the compound also housed an emerald Buddha. Another memorable moment was the sunset boat trip on the Mekong River. The sky actually emitted a pink hue which made the boat ride even more relaxing. If you are planning a river cruise, I suggest taking one in the evening.
After visiting Phnom Penh, I then witnessed Angkor Wat on a helium balloon and experienced several enlightening cultural and historical experiences such as the floating house, the silk farm and a stop to Angkor National Museum.
The culinary section of this tour was fascinating. I learned about the ingredients by actually going to the market and picking them up. After that, I learned how to prepare one of Cambodia's famous dishes, Amouk, which is a type of fish curry. After cooking the dish, I ate it for lunch! Yum!
My next travel destination is Halong Bay. I've heard so much about the Emeraude cruise along the beautiful and scenic waters. It is an experience I cannot miss!
