Cambodia Soft Adventure - 10 Days / 9 Nights

Day 1 - Arrive Battambang (D)

Cross from Thailand at the Poipet border and journey through pleasant countryside to Battambang. Cross streams and bridges as you drive along to a part of Cambodia rarely seen by tourists. Arrive this evening to Battambang, a sleepy riverside town full of faded colonial buildings.

Day 2 - Battambang (B,L,D)

Today enjoy a tour of Battambang and its surrounding countryside. Climb to the top of Phnom Banan for stunning panoramic views and explore the crumbling ruins of Ek Phnom. Test your culinary skills with an afternoon cooking course and prepare delicious Cambodian dishes.

Day 3 - Battambang - Siem Reap (B,L,D)

Awake early to catch the boat to Siem Reap. The journey will take you down one of Cambodia's most scenic rivers and across Tonle Sap Lake. After checking in to the hotel, hop on your bikes for a short ride through the tranquil countryside to the Rolous Group temples which date back to the 8^th century.

Day 4 - Siem Reap - Angkor Complex - Siem Reap (B,L)

After breakfast at the hotel, set off by tuk tuk to explore the main Angkor Archeological park. Visit temples such as Bayon, Baphoun and Angkor Wat. This afternoon explore the jungle enshrouded ruins of Ta Phrom and Banteay Kdei before returning to Siem Reap. Throughout the day your guide will explain the history and mysticism surrounding these incredible temples and plan the schedule to best avoid the big tour groups!

Day 5 - Siem Reap - Beng Mealea - Kampong Phluck - Siem Reap (B,L,D)

Today explore a different side of Cambodia with excursions to the remote outskirts of Siem Reap. Start with a visit to Kampong Phluck floating village for a boat tour through flooded forests and lunch at a local house. Continue to Beng Mealea, a truly hidden gem as it is overgrown with jungle and vines. Return to Siem Reap for dinner accompanied by a traditional performance of Apsara Dance.

Day 6 - Siem Reap - Kampong Thom (B,L,D)

Depart Siem Reap this morning en route to Kampong Thom. Upon arrival, take a bicycle tour through flat jungle roads to explore the ancient temples of Sambor Prei Kuk. These temples, dating back to the 6^th - 7^th century, are incredibly well preserved and blissfully crowd-free!  After lunch, a short 8 kilometer ride takes you to Phnom Santuk Mountain for beautiful late afternoon views over the countryside.

Day 7 - Kampong Thom - Phnom Penh (B,L,D)

This morning depart Kampong Thom for the capital city, Phnom Penh.  After lunch set off on a city tour by cyclo, the traditional pedal-powered rickshaw used throughout the city. Visit the elegant Royal Palace, the hilltop Wat Phnom and the elegant riverfront.

Day 8 - Phnom Penh - Sihanoukville (B)

Travel south to Sihanoukville, the country's foremost beach resort enjoying fantastic views over the Gulf of Thailand en-route. The afternoon is free to explore the area's beaches and tranquil town center.

Day 9 - Sihanoukville - Ream - Sihanoukville (B,L)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Ream National Park, only 20 kilometres  from Sihanoukville. Take a boat trip through the mystical mangrove forests to look for local wildlife such as monkeys, lizards and endangered pink dolphins. Then, walk along the beach to board a boat to secluded Koh Sam Pouch island. Enjoy lunch on the quiet white sand beaches and free time to swim or snorkel before returning to Sihanoukville.

Day 10 - Sihanoukville - Kbal Chay - Phnom Penh - Departure (B,L)

Depart this morning for Kbal Chay waterfalls, a series of falls ranging from 3-5 meters high. Enjoy a swim and a picnic lunch in the lush jungle surroundings before continuing by road to Phnom Penh. Upon reaching the capital, the remainder of the day is free to explore before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
